According to the IFS institute “Internal Family Systems is a powerfully transformative, evidence based model of psychotherapy. We believe the mind is naturally multiple and that is a good thing. Our inner parts contain valuable qualities and our core Self knows how to heal, allowing us to become integrated and whole. In IFS all parts are welcome.”

During our first session together we will start with an intake to gather information on your past experiences and current situation. We will begin to build a trusting relationship, the key to any successful therapeutic work. During our first session together we will start with an intake to gather information on your past experiences and current situation. We will begin to build a trusting relationship, the key to any successful therapeutic work. Once all of our parts feel safe in the meeting space we can start to move forward. I work through a lens guided by Internal Family Systems, meaning that we will use parts language to lead us on this journey (no experience necessary). We will explore and learn about the parts active during situations and experiences and begin to shift our lens from judgment to compassion for their hard work and efforts. We will also incorporate guided meditation, self-care exercises, and somatic or body-based work into our journey together.
